If you don't know what it is you love to do, ask everyday in your prayers for God to show you, and you will definitely find what you are looking for. Once you find it, the third spiritual principle of abundance says to commit to being very good at what you love to do. Making a commitment to be very good at what you love to do is very important because so often what we love to do is not easily accomplished.I made the commitment to myself everyday that I was going to get a little better at performing my passion. Then as I hit my highs and lows on my spiritual road, I was already prepared for them. As I pursued my passions of public speaking and becoming a published author, I often hit what I call fear-based setbacks on my path.There were many days during the process of creating this book that nothing was written down. These days I would sit down to write and nothing would come through me. My commitment to be very good at what I love to do kept me motivated to move forward even when the road seemed very dark. It was important to me to accomplish my goal of completing this book. Since I was committed to being very good at what I love to do, I never considered the possibility of failure. I never once considered that I would not finish it, or that it would not be published. The number one reason most people fail at ventures in their lives is because they believe they are supposed to fail. For some reason, they feel they don't deserve to be successful.Many people's adult minds think they deserve success, while their little kid inside, who is still wounded and hurt, does not believe he deserves to have abundance in his life. Personally, I always connected my lack of financial abundance in my life to a wounded little kid who took on the false belief he did not deserve to be loved.So if you hear voices in your head that say things like, "You will not be good enough at your passion to make money at it," or "You don't deserve to make money at what you love," these are all limiting believes of your ego. Make sure you write those limiting beliefs down and investigate their source. When you hear these voices, ask your little kid why he believes he does not deserve to be loved. Take the time to listen to his answers, and you will be totally amazed at what you will learn.The key for moving through my own limiting beliefs--those that were keeping me from total abundance--was to find the source. In my experience, it was always my wounded little kid. When I became conscious of this source, all I had to do was listen to his needs, nurture him by supporting him through his needs, and allow him to grow by feeling what he needed to heal.
The natural consequence of allowing my inner child to heal was that all of my old, limiting beliefs went away. As my limiting voices subsided, my ability to become better and earn money at what I love to do also became more of a reality in my life.A second avenue to discover in your quest to become the best at what you love to do is to learn how to communicate from your heart. Communication from your heart is something that naturally happens as you connect with your feelings.Years ago, I had no idea what it meant to communicate from my heart. Whenever Nancy would ask me a question, my answer would always come out very analytical. Eventually, I learned that to answer from my heart meant to reply to a question based on how I felt about that particular topic. I learned to use words such as I love, I hate, I feel, I'm saddened, I'm angry, I'm excited, I'm passionate, etc. Using a simple guide like the feel, felt, found method is also a great way to learn how to communicate from the heart. I integrated this into my life when I was talking with someone. When someone would say something I could relate to, I would answer like this, "Mr. Smith, I know how you feel. I used to feel the same way. What I have found is...," and continue the sentence.Using different techniques to integrate my communication effort into my heart was very important for me to learn. I knew God was in my heart, so when I learned how to communicate from my heart, my words came from a much higher place in my consciousness. As I learned how to communicate from my heart, the recipients were also receiving my words from a higher place in their hearts. The natural consequence of this is a divinely inspired conversation. Today I can actually feel another person's heart open as I communicate from my heart; so naturally, my conversations are more loving and intimate than ever before.A life lived and communicated from the heart is a life being guided by Great Spirit. In your quest to become very good at what you love to do, learn how to communicate your passions from your heart, and watch how your new world will effortlessly open up for you, too.
