Human Beings so often get use to a certain life style or position in life and then rest on their laurels having satisfied themselves. Many just work enough to get by and maintain their current lifestyles. This situation is so common in fact that it often transcends, culture, nationality, ethnicity, class level and age. It truly appears to be an innate characteristic of the species and perhaps is the reason that so many people work very hard and even will vote to keep the status quo, even if they are somewhat unsatisfied with the current situation. It seems rather silly really, as wanting more is also a human trait. But often the fear of risk and the uncertainty of change is something that most humans are unwilling to move to over come to go to the next step. Do you fear risk? Do you fear change? Why, do you fear change and what on Earth are you afraid of anyway?One interesting and relevant quote for this discussion is the one from Einstein; "The only thing that is constant is change" and with that said let us just say that change is the natural flow of things and change is suppose to be. Without change the forward progression of mankind stops and stagnation begins. Mediocrity will prevail and we won't be much better than a lump of coal. So I propose from here on out that we celebrate change, innovation and take the necessary risks to get there.
